Germantown Man Held Without Bond, Shot at Four From Balcony

Nicholas Lloyd, 44, of Germantown is being held without bond following a Wednesday night shooting. Lloyd faces several charges, including three counts of attempted second-degree murder, for his role in the shooting at the 20000 block of Shadyside Way.

Lloyd, perched on his balcony, shot at four people with a rifle at approximately 10 p.m. They were gathered outside his residence because of an ongoing dispute “involving several individuals,” according to a press release from the Montgomery County Department of Police.

Just before midnight, officers arrived at the scene and placed Lloyd under arrest. He injured three men, leaving a woman on the scene untouched. Two victims were sent to the hospital, including one who Lloyd tried to help, with non-life-threatening injuries. The third victim sustained a graze wound and was released at the scene.

According to the July 18 press release, Lloyd’s charges include:

  • Three counts of attempted second-degree murder
  • Three counts of first-degree assault
  • Three counts of second-degree assault
  • Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony
  • Other handgun-related charges.
