Germantown Man Sentenced to 18 Years for Child Pornography

Hummad Siddiqui, 35, of Germantown, was sentenced to 18 years after pleading guilty eight counts of child pornography, according to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office.

In addition, Siddiqui must serve five years of supervised probation after he is released. He also must register as a sex offender.

Siddiqui pled guilty on Dec. 20, 2023. He had been arrested following an investigation by the Montgomery County Police, which was alerted to cyber tips from Google about Siddiqui’s internet activity that had been reported in March of 2022 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

According to Google, he had uploaded files on an Apple Iphone that contained child pornography, according to the state’s attorney’s office.

“This is a just sentence that will help to protect our community, in particular our children,” said State’s Attorney John McCarthy.
