
Monday morning, a small shed fire spread and caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages to a three-story home in Germantown.
At around 9:35 a.m., Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service units arrived at the scene of a report of a house on fire. The single-family home on the 11200 block of Cool Breeze Place caught fire from what officials identified as an old battery. The blaze, soon spreading to the home, displaced five adults, MCFRS Emergency Assistant Chief Dan Ogren told us.

The three occupants of the house at the time of the fire escaped unharmed and engaged with the Red Cross, according to Ogren.
