Gov. Moore Wants Commanders, Metro to Thrive Here

Gov. Wes Moore is actively working to keep the Commanders football team in Prince George’s County and finding long-term funding solutions to keep Metro running.

“Having a world class transportation system is a very high priority for our administration,” he told MCM following the ribbon cutting of the new Choice Hotels headquarters in North Bethesda Tuesday.

Maryland needs to pay its share. “We’ve got to fix this business model,” and make it run for the long term, he said.

Moore also talked about signing a long-term agreement with the Baltimore Orioles and how best to achieve the same with the Commanders football team.

“I want the Commanders in Prince George’s County…. the Commanders need to stay in Maryland.”
