GreenFest Goes Urban in Wheaton

On Sunday, GreenFest in the City debuted at the Marian Fryer Town Plaza in Wheaton. The event offered residents a chance to learn about ways to go green in their everyday lives.

Department of Environmental Protection spokesperson Cindy Pena pointed out the many incentives available to buyers of electric vehicles. She encouraged residents to do some research to find the make and model for them.

More than 60 vendors representing green business, environmental nonprofits and arts and crafts participated in the Wheaton GreenFest.

GreenFest in the Gardens originally scheduled for Saturday, April 22, was cancelled due to bad weather.
