
The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for central, north central, and northern Maryland, as well as certain parts of northern Virginia This warning will be in effect between 11 am and 8 pm today, Thursday, July 17th. Temperatures are expected to reach around 105 degrees Fahrenheit.
Reminders to avoid heat-related illnesses:
- Drink plenty of water
- Avoid being outdoors and stay in an air-conditioned space
- Check in on your friends, family, and neighbors
