Input Wanted for New Skate Park in Long Branch

Montgomery County Parks wants public input on a proposed new skate park in Long Branch.

Attendees at Rolling Terrace Elementary School, 705 Bayfield Street in Takoma Park can view designs and offer feedback. A meeting is set for Wednesday, November 5, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Parks requests online registration but it’s not required.

“The skate park will be a great asset to the Long Branch community and will serve as a focal point of the overall park renovation,” said Evan Dintaman, Project Manager for Montgomery Parks.

Plans at Long Branch Local Park on Langley Drive include improvements to the entrance and parking. The playground will undergo renovation. A new soccer field will be built. and residents can look forward to reworked soccer and basketball courts. The fitness area will be also get an upgrade.

Work is expected to be completed in 2027.
