Layhill Collision Becomes Fatal

The collision that took place on Layhill Road on March 1 has become fatal, according to Montgomery County Department of Police.

On Sunday, A 2016 Nissan Altima was driving northbound on Layhill Road and a 2015 Nissan Altima was driving westbound on Norbeck Road, approaching Layhill Road. The Nissans then collided in the intersection for reasons still under investigation.

Waqas Tahir Khan, the driver of the 2015 Nissan Altima, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on March 2, according to MCPD.

The female passenger of the 2015 Altima was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the 2016 Nissan Altima, Aaron Pugh, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Pugh was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol in 2016, according to records from the Maryland District Court.
