 
            
            Montgomery County Public Libraries will host its first-ever annual showcase of local authors Saturday, Nov. 22 in Wheaton.
It is a free, family-friendly book fair and meet-the-author event from 12-5 p.m. inside the Wheaton Community Recreation Center at 11701 Georgia Ave., according to MCPL.
The following authors will have meet-and-greets:

- Rose Bakewell
- Jacqueline Corcoran
- Shamichael Hallman
- Christine Kessides
- Con Lehane
- Alejandro Leopardi
- Debbi Mack
- Maryland Writers’ Association Montgomery Chapter
- D.M. Mewha
- Seti Ouelega & Neeyo Ouelega
- Elia Powers
- Jonathan Roth
- Sid Sahib
- Daniel Sullivan
- Dan (D.C.) Swanson
The meet-and-greets as well as the book sale will be in the gymnasium on the first floor from 12-5 p.m.
In the social hall on the second floor, there will be activities and a panel:
- 1-2 p.m. Read to a Zoo!: Read aloud to a therapy dog or stuffed animal (for children ages 5-12)
- 2:30-3:30 p.m. Create a Cozy Paper Village: Arts and crafts activity (ages 13 and up)
- 4-5 p.m. Traditional vs. Self-Publishing Panel: Panel discussion with local authors who have navigated both traditional and self-publishing (recommended for teens and adults)
