ROCKVILLE, MD.— December 4, 2025—Montgomery Community Media (MCM) is pleased to announce that Kyle Ridley will join the MCM newsroom team as a consulting producer, bringing more than two decades of experience in live television, digital storytelling and podcast production.
Ridley is a two-time Emmy Award-winning producer and the 2025 Capital Emmy Live Producer of the Year. He began his career with internships at “The Dr. Phil Show” and NBC Los Angeles before returning to the Washington, D.C., region. After working in government, he moved into media production at WJLA/ABC7, where he advanced to line producer for the station’s morning broadcasts. His work there included “Good Morning Washington,” “Outside the Classroom,” “The Pet Show with Dr. Katy” and the Emmy-winning series “The Mother Side.” He later joined “Good Day DC” at WTTG FOX5 before launching his own production company, Ridley Media.
MCM Director of News and Public Information, Markette Sheppard said Ridley’s arrival strengthens the momentum of the growing newsroom: “Kyle’s creativity, sharp instincts, and deep understanding of live production make him an incredible asset to our team. As consulting producer, Ridley will support news programming, podcast development and production strategy.
Ridley lives in Kensington, MD with his three rescue dogs.
