On Monday, Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) named Shannon McKenzie as Teacher of the Year.
McKenzie, a child development teacher at Clarksburg High School, was awarded during a ceremony at BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown. She will now compete for Maryland Teacher of the Year.
