MCPS to host RespectFEST in April

County teens are set to take part in Montgomery County Public Schools’ (MCPS) upcoming RespectFEST event.

The free event, hosted by Choose Respect Montgomery, will feature workshops on bystander intervention, consent, dating violence and healthy relationships. Students in sixth through 12th grade and their families are welcome to attend.

The annual event will include online activities, workshops and raffles from April 1 through April 14.

An in-person gathering at Wheaton Community Recreation Center (11701 Georgia Ave.) will take place on April 7 from 1-4 p.m. Attendees will find yoga classes, educational booths and free food.

MCPS is offering up to eight SSL hours for students who take part in the activities. Shuttle buses will be provided to help participants arrive at the community center. Learn more here.
