MLK Outdoor Pool Renovated to Better Serve Swimmers with Disabilities

Swimmers with disabilities have a new option in Montgomery County. The Martin Luther King, Jr. Outdoor Pool in White Oak was renovated in a $3 million project to make it more accessible.

MCM was at the pool Wednesday morning to see the new features.

The renovation includes new pool lifts so wheelchair users and others with disabilities can enjoy all areas of the pool.

This Disability Pride Month marks 35 years since the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law.
