Mon Ami Gabi Will Close for Remodeling

Mon Ami Gabi, the popular French bistro in Bethesda Row, will be closing for a few months for remodeling beginning this spring. The exact date of closing has not been announced. Reopening is expected “before the end of the year” according to a company spokesperson.

Mon Ami Gabi’s parent company, Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants, sent MCM the following statement:

“As part of our continuous efforts to enhance the dining experiences for our guests, Mon Ami Gabi in Bethesda is set to undergo a remodel that will begin this spring. The French bistro will reopen before the end of the year, however the exact date is not yet confirmed.

We look forward to introducing the newly remodeled space to our guests and the community. We are excited to enhance our service offerings and provide an even more exceptional dining experience upon the reopening of Mon Ami Gabi in Bethesda later this year.”

Current employees of the bistro have been given the option to work within the company umbrella during the remodeling.

“During this transitional period, our employees remain our top priority. All Mon Ami Gabi – Bethesda employees have been given the option to temporarily relocate to other Lettuce Entertain You restaurants and will be offered the chance to return to Mon Ami Gabi in Bethesda upon its reopening,” according to the statement.

Mon Ami Gabi in Reston, Va closed permanently last year.
