Montgomery County offers free vaccination clinics for students through Friday, Sept. 25, to help families meet Maryland’s school immunization requirements.
Maryland schools must keep proof of required vaccines on file for every student in kindergarten through 12th grade. Students without updated records risk exclusion from school.
What’s required for seventh grade
All students entering seventh grade must receive the Tdap and the meningococcal vaccines. Parents and guardians should submit updated immunization records to their child’s school health office before the first day of school.
What’s free
The clinics offer free vaccines to all Montgomery County Public Schools students, regardless of insurance status. Available vaccines include Tdap, meningococcal, HPV, varicella, MMR, meningococcal B and COVID-19.
Children 18 and younger who are uninsured, enrolled in Medicaid, or American Indian or Alaska Native may also qualify for additional vaccines, such as polio or pneumococcal.
“Every child deserves a healthy start to the school year,” County Executive Marc Elrich said. “These free clinics help remove barriers for families by making required vaccines easy to access at no cost.”

Parents can call one of four county immunization clinics to schedule an appointment or confirm hours:
