The “9 Best Days of Summer” are approaching as Montgomery County hosts its 77th annual Agricultural Fair from August 14-22 at 16 Chestnut St.
Held in Gaithersburg, the fair holds the title as the largest county fair in Maryland. This year’s theme is “Barn in the USA”, a theme that celebrates both Montgomery County’s traditions and the 250th anniversary of America.
Enjoy nine days of family fun with activities ranging from carnival rides to pig racing to monster truck shows and more. Check the fair website for a list of all the events.
Multiple competitions will be hosted, including an amateur cheese carving and toilet decorating.
Tickets are available for purchase online for $17.15 through August 10. After the 10th, online ticket price increases to $20.24. Tickets at the gate upon arrival are $18. Children 11 and under go for free.
Fairground parking is available for $20. A free shuttle service will be available from Montgomery College’s Rockville and Germantown campuses.
