A motorcyclist died Tuesday morning in a collision at the intersection of Manor Road and Connecticut Avenue, according to Montgomery County police.
Officers from the 2nd District and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the scene at approximately 6:14 a.m. for a report of a crash involving a motorcyclist, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The adult female driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene. She was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Earlier, police issued a traffic advisory warning drivers of delays in the area as emergency crews responded.
The Montgomery County Police Department’s Collision Reconstruction unit is investigating the crash. Officials said the identity of the motorcyclist will be released following proper notification of next of kin.
The investigation remains ongoing. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
