MVA Registration Fees Increase Statewide

The Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) raised the cost of vehicle registration fees for Marylanders, effective on July 1.

Drivers of passenger vehicles up to 3,500 pounds will now pay $120.50 for registration, a $10 increase from the previous price

The cost of fees depends on vehicle weight and class. Passenger cars between 3,500 and 3,700 pounds will cost $125.50 to register, while passenger cars exceeding 3,700 pounds will cost $191.50.

The MVA website offers a complete list of registration fees, including specifications for historical vehicles, motorcycles, limousines and other vehicle classes.
