The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flood watch for Montgomery County and surrounding areas from Friday evening through early Saturday morning. Forecasters say multiple rounds of storms could bring 2 to 3 inches of rain.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are likely Friday afternoon and evening, with the risk of flash flooding increasing overnight.
Flooding causes more deaths each year than any other weather hazard. Do not drive through flooded roadways. If you live in a flood-prone area, prepare to move to higher ground if needed. Stay alert for additional weather warnings.
A Flood Watch has been issued for Montgomery County beginning 7:00 pm, Fri. 5/30 until 4:00 am Sat., 5/31. Expect heavy rainfall that may produce flooding. More info: https://t.co/3jrRusgsTp
