North Bethesda Outdoor Concerts, Social Dance and Yoga Summer Series Guide

The Pike District Partnership series of events during the summer months feature outdoor concerts, social dancing, and yoga sessions. The events are planned for the Pop-up Park in the North Bethesda Pike District, located at Grand Park Avenue and Banneker Street.

Thursdays in the Park

Bring the family to enjoy live music by local artists each Thursday from now through July 27. Thursday in the Park series features local food trucks and a local brewery will sell beer, wine and cocktails to anyone 21 years or older. There will also be lawn games, raffles and giveaways. The concerts start at 6 p.m. Musical acts will include:

  • June 15: Elevada Duo (folk, pop)
  • June 22: Emma G Duo (pop, soul, rock)
  • June 29: The Breakaways Duo (pop, rock)
  • July 6: Moose Jaw Bluegrass Duo (bluegrass)
  • July 13: Driven to Clarity Duo (rock)
  • July 20: Juliet Lloyd Duo (soul, pop)
  • July 27: Chasing Autumn Duio (rock)

Friday Night Salsa

Friday Night Salsa is a free dance party series on the last Friday night of each month from 6 to 9 p.m. during June through September. Dates are June 30, July 28, Aug. 25, and Sept. 29 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Victor from All out Danza will lead the group in a free salsa dance lesson, followed by social dance and activities. All levels of dancers are welcome.

Food and beverage vendors will be on-hand offering a variety of food options. Attendees 21 and older can purchase a selection of beer, wine, and cocktails.

There are Adirondack chairs and picnic tables in the park. Attendees may want to bring their own chairs and blankets as well. There will be lawn games, raffles and giveaways.

Saturdays in the Park Yoga Series

This year, the Yoga in the Park series starts Saturday, June 3 from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. and continues through September. Hosted by extendYoga and Alexis Reed, Saturdays in the Park is a free vinyasa flow class where attendees can connect with nature and themselves. Participants should bring their own mats and refreshments. Pre-registration is required.
