Noyes Library Storywalk Features ‘If You Find a Leaf’

The 24th Noyes StoryWalks® is designed for this season.

The Noyes Children’s Library Foundation presents, “If You Find A Leaf,” which is written and illustrated by Aimée Sicuro.

Pages from the book are on display until Nov. 12 at Warner Circle Park, 10231 Carroll Place, Kensington, which is across the street from Noyes Children’s Library.

The story follows a child collecting fall leaves while she imagines what each different leaf could be. It celebrates the changing season and “encourages children to let every leaf spark a new idea,” according to a news release.

Families are encouraged to find particular leaves and trees from the book in Kensington’s parks and neighborhoods.

Participants can share a selfie or their craft from this Storywalk on the Foundation’s facebook page or tag the Foundation at @makemorenoyes.

The Noyes Children’s Library Foundation launched its Noyes StoryWalk® program in January 2021 as an early literacy initiative when libraries were closed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
