Oladotun Staying in State with Terps

Baba Oladotun, the James Hubert Blake High School basketball star, selected the University of Maryland as his next stop on his basketball journey. The highly recruited 6’10 swing forward out of Silver Spring said he had narrowed his choices to Georgetown and Maryland, ultimately staying home to play for the Terrapins.

Oladotun, who averaged 22 points, seven rebounds and three assists for Blake as a sophomore last season, said he grew up going to Maryland games and always dreamed of playing for them. The reality is Maryland gets the number one player in the state and the eighth overall prospect in the country according to ESPN next.

Oladotun reclassified, so he will graduate in 2026. He returns to the Blake team for his final season coming off of a 22-3 record last year where the Bengals captured the Montgomery County title.
