Olney Hanukkah Fire Truck Parade Planned for Monday

The Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department and the Chabad of Olney host a Hanukkah fire truck parade and celebration Monday, Dec. 11 starting at 5:15 p.m.

The fire truck parade departs from the Sandy Spring Fire Station located at 16911 Georgia Avenue at 5:15 p.m. and makes five stops. At each stop there will be Hanukkah treats, music, and a fire juggling show. The parade progress may be tracked online with the Glympse geo-location tracking service here.

The five stops are:

1st Stop: Norbeck Grove at approximately 5:25-5:40 p.m.
Norbeck Community Room and Swimming Pool

2nd Stop: Olney Mill at approximately 5:50-6:05 p.m.
Parking lot of Rosa Parks Middle School
19200 Olney Mill Rd, Olney

3rd Stop: B’nai Shalom of Olney Congregation at approximately 6:10-6:25 pm
Parking Lot / Entrance
18401 Burtfield Dr, Olney

4th Stop: Fair Hill Shopping Center at approximately 6:40-6:55 pm
Parking lot in front of Harris Teeter
18169 Town Center Dr, Olney

5th/Final stop: Sandy Spring Fire Station #4 at approximately 7:05 p.m.
17921 Brooke Rd, Sandy Spring

There will be latkes and doughnuts at the fire station and the lighting of the large Menorah.

The event is free to the public and does not require registration.
