Olney Man Charged With Second-Degree Rape; Police Concerned About Additional Victims

The Montgomery County Department of Police’s Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) arrested and charged a man with multiple counts of second-degree rape and third-degree sex offense, according to a press release.

At approximately 7 p.m. on July 20, Joshua Black, 31, of Olney allegedly lured the juvenile female victim into a wooded area located in the 17700 block of Prince Philip Drive and then proceeded to sexually assault her, according to an investigation by detectives.

Black was arrested at his home and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is currently being held without bond.

Detectives expressed concern there may be more victims of sexual assault by Black who have not contacted police.
