Parks Playhouse Offers Free Summer Entertainment

Throughout this summer, Montgomery Parks is hosting free, live performances at a variety of parks across the county.

The series, called Parks Playhouse, began June 2 and will run through the end of August.

Performances include live music, comedy shows and theater. Some shows are bilingual or solely performed in Spanish.

Parks Playhouse culminates in a final week of shows at the Cabin John Amphitheater from Aug. 15 through Aug. 18.

The full Parks Playhouse schedule can be found here.

Some Parks Playhouse performances are intended for older audiences. However, Montgomery Parks is also offering Parks Playhouse Junior, a series of performances geared towards young children. These events will include ventriloquists, sing-a-longs and more.

Parks Playhouse Junior begins on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with a puppet show at Germantown Town Center Urban Park. More information about Parks Playhouse Junior and its schedule can be found here.

It is recommended that attendees bring their own seating to performances. Food and beverages will be sold at some events.
