Planning Board Approves Proposal for Affordable Senior Living Facility in Silver Spring

The Montgomery County Planning Board approved redevelopment plans for Seabury at Springvale Terrace, a retirement community in Silver Spring on April 18.

The proposed facility will feature up to 237 units, with 25 percent of them Moderately Priced Dwelling Units (MPDUs), as part of the county’s Speed-to-Market Initiative.

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation approved three designs for driveway access locations and improvements along Cloverfield Road as part of the proposal.

The property is about three acres in size and is located at 8505 Springvale Road in Silver Spring.
