Play Pickleball with the Pros at Bethesda-Chevy Chase YMCA

The YMCA Bethesda-Chevy Chase hosts Paddles with a Purpose on Saturday, May 17, to kick off its partnership with global pickleball brand, JOOLA, headquartered in Gaithersburg.

Participants have the opportunity to play with professionals, including Bobbi Oshiro (currently ranked #4 on the Women’s APP Tour) and Johnny Goldberg (current head coach, Miami Pickleball Club of Major League Pickleball).

The two-day event is open to YMCA members as well as the public.

“Before launching JOOLA Pickleball, my introduction to this amazing sport started with a few pickleball lessons at my YMCA in Maryland.” That’s Richard Lee, CEO & Owner of JOOLA, referring to the Bethesda-Chevy Chase YMCA on Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda.

There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m.to dedicate the Richard Lee Court. That will be followed by a meet and greet with top pickleball players.

An instructional clinic starts at 11 a.m. and runs until 12:30 p.m. It will be followed by round robin play.
