
42-year-old Washington, D.C. resident Guy Tyrell Johnson was taken into custody on Thursday for the stabbing death of Emmanuel Bisudu Sesay, according to a press release from the Detective division of the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD).
On May 15, 2025 at approximately 10:30 p.m., the 31-year-old victim engaged in a physical altercation with Johnson in a parking lot in the 11400 block of Lockwood Drive in White Oak. In the course of the fight Johnson stabbed Sesay and fled.
Officers from the Third District and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services responded to the scene and found Sesay with life threatening injuries. Life saving measures were tried and Sesay was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Washington, D.C. determined the manner of death was homicide.
Upon investigation, detectives identified Johnson as the suspect. Following an arrest warrant, Johnson was charged with second-degree murder. He was apprehended by the Montgomery County Task Force Officers assigned to the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force on Thursday, May 29.
Johnson awaits extradition to the county at a detention center in D.C.
