A driver lost control and struck several vehicles after fleeing an attempted traffic stop in Takoma Park, according to police.
At about 7:50 p.m. Thursday, officers attempted a traffic stop on a driver who ran a red light at New Hampshire Avenue and Holton Lane, according to the Takoma Park Police Department.
Police stated that the suspect driver fled, sped down Kingwood Drive and lost control after striking the traffic circle at Kingwood and Wildwood Drives. The driver struck several vehicles before stopping, according to police, then left the vehicle and fled on foot.
Investigation continues and Takoma Park Police ask anyone with information to call police at 301-270-1100.
