Montgomery County Police have identified the victim of the fatal crash in Burtonsville on Wednesday.
30-year-old Jazz Andrew Taylor succumbed to injuries suffered in an early morning collision in the area of Sandy Spring and McKnew Roads, according to a report released Thursday afternoon.
Detectives from the Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) continue to investigate the accident.
According to the latest information, for reasons still unknown, a gray 2024 Honda CRV traveling east in the westbound lanes of Sandy Spring Road collided with a red 2007 CRV which was traveling west.
The gray Honda’s driver was taken to a nearby hospital with non-threatening injuries.
The driver of the red Honda, Taylor, was pronounced dead at the scene, despite lifesaving efforts.
