Police Investigate Fatal Stabbing in Bethesda

Montgomery County Police arrested a Bethesda man for fatally stabbing his father Sunday, March 6 in their home, according to a media release.

Police responded to a call of a stabbing that had just occurred in the 5600 block of Lambeth Road in Bethesda around 9:30 p.m. Sunday evening.

Officers located 46-year old David Beasley inside the home with stab wounds. The police provided life-saving measures until fire and rescue responders arrived; Beasley was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries, according to the police.

Upon investigation, detectives determined that 20-year old Sergio Elysee Koyongbo, Beasley’s son, stabbed his father inside the home.

Koyangbo was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. He is being held without bond.

An autopsy will be conducted n Baltimore to determine the manner and cause of death.
