Police Investigate Hate Message Painted Below Josiah Henson Parkway

Hate graffiti that included the words “Club Aryan Excellent” and a swastika were painted below the Josiah Henson Parkway by Tildenwood Drive in North Bethesda.

Mongomery County Police Department is investigating.

“We are deeply disturbed by the racist and antisemitic message found under a bridge of Josiah Henson Parkway,” said Gil Preuss, CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington.

“This hateful rhetoric has no place in our society. Our community will continue to stand strong and resilient in the face of hatred, racism, and antisemitism in all its forms. We are working closely with our security team and Montgomery County Department of Police to keep our community safe and learn more about this incident,” he wrote in a statement.

County Councilmember Kate Stewart condemned the incident in a post.
