Rockville City Police are investigating another act of violence that follows three recent shootings.
On Tuesday, shortly after 7 p.m., police officers responded to Maryvale Park in the 800 block of First Street following a report of an altercation among a group of juvenile males.
During the verbal dispute, one individual produced an edged weapon and assaulted a 15-year-old, who sustained a non-life-threatening injury. He was taken to the hospital.
Police ask that anyone who witnessed the altercation or has information about it to contact police at Detectives@RockvilleMD.gov or call 240-314-8900.
A spokesperson for the police department said that at this time, there did not appear to be a correlation among the four incidents.
