UPDATE: Gaithersburg Girl Located Safe, Unharmed

Update, Oct. 16: Flor Maria Peguero has been found safe and unharmed, a Montgomery County police statement says.


Original post, Oct. 4: Detectives from the Montgomery County police Special Victims Investigations Division are asking the public for help in locating a missing Gaithersburg juvenile.

Flor Maria Peguero, 14, of Muddy Branch Road, was last seen about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, in the area of Lakelands Park Middle School, 1200 Main St. in Gaithersburg. Flores-Diaz is described as a Hispanic female, 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds. She has brown eyes and long black hair.

Police and family are concerned for Peguero’s welfare.

Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of Flor Maria Peguero is asked to call the Montgomery County Police Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5400 or the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24 hours).
