Montgomery County police have charged two women with first-degree murder in connection with the death of 67-year-old Hilde Henderson of Silver Spring.
On May 26 at around 11:11 a.m., three Montgomery County officers responded to a welfare check at the Charter House, an affording housing complex for adults 55 and older in the 1300 block of Fenwick Lane in Silver Spring. When they entered the apartment, officers found the 67-year-old Henderson dead on scene.
Henderson’s body was brought to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where an autopsy was performed and her death was ruled a homicide.
During the investigation, officers identified Henderson’s 29-year-old daughter, Vanessa Tjongarero-Henderson of Clarksburg, and Vanessa’s girlfriend Samantha Raebel, 36 of Phoenix, as suspects in the case, according to MCPD.
Police have obtained arrest warrants charging Tjongarero-Henderson and Raebel with first-degree murder.
MCPD is asking for the public’s help in finding the two women.
