Poolesville’s Crossvines Creates Co-Op for Maryland Wine Makers

Crossvines, a winery with a mission, opened in Poolesville last June. With a $30 million investment by the Maryland Revenue Authority, Crossvines hopes to foster a burgeoning wine businesses in Maryland.

MCM paid a visit recently to see how that was going.

Crossvines has the capacity to produce 10 thousand cases of wine a year. This year they will hit about 4 thousand. They have fermentation facilities for white, rose, red and sparkling wine. Tyler Henley, Crossvines’ winemaster, hopes to have the first taste of Crossvines wines available for public consumption by late spring.
