Registration opens for 25th Annual Bike to Work Day

Registration is now open for the 25th Annual Bike to Work Day, scheduled for May 15.

The event is organized by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments’ Commuter Connections program and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association.

“[It’s] a chance to feel the freedom and invigoration of pedaling to the office,” according to organizers.

More than 100 pit stop stations will be located throughout the DMV area.

The first 18,000 people who register and visit a pit stop will receive a commemorative Bike to Work Day T-shirt and an entry into a bike raffle. The stops will also have snacks and entertainment.

In addition, free bicycle convoys led by an experienced cyclist will be available along certain routes, for those interested in a group cycling commute.

Visit biketoworkmetrodc.org for more details and to register.
