Locally Crafted, a shop in Gaithersburg’s Rio Shopping Center, hosted an event for federal workers last Friday. Dozens of RIFed workers and those on the brink of losing their government jobs showed up. All kinds of work-related resources were provided by volunteers who wanted to help.
After the job fair MCM reached out to Allison Eriksen to find out if her job at USAID had been reinstated in the flurry of legal decisions. Her friends texted her messages of congratulations. But her contract was not included in the current callbacks.
