A man has been sentenced to serve 50 years in prison for sexually assaulting a woman at a Rockville hotel in 2022.

Arash Khosh, 46, of Rockville, was sentenced Monday to life in prison with all but 50 years suspended, plus five years of probation after release, according to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office (MCSAO). He will have to register as a sex offender for life.

Police responded to the Hilton Garden Inn on Shady Grove Road in May 2022, according to a statement of charges.

According to MCSAO, Khosh forced his way into a 70-year-old woman’s hotel room and sexually assaulted her. MCSAO stated the victim was unknown to Khosh.

According to the statement of charges, the victim’s husband had left the hotel room to go downstairs to the lobby while she stayed in the room.

Khosh was found guilty by a jury in February on charges of first-degree rape, home invasion and second-degree assault.
