On Thursday, Sen. Angela Alsobrooks stopped by Leisure World in Silver Spring and spoke to a packed Clubhouse I. She was quick to address the topic foremost on the minds of the audience.
The Senator told the audience she had filed several resolutions aimed at maintaining the current funding of Social Security. But in a Republican majority House of Representatives, those resolutions did not pass.
She sympathized with those feeling frustrated by the actions of the current administration. And, she urged the audience to make their voices heard now and in the Congressional elections next year.
