A male suspect is in custody following a Saturday morning shooting outside of the Westfield Wheaton Mall at 11:11 a.m.
The shooting, which took place outside the Target/Costco area of the mall, occurred during an attempted carjacking. According to Montgomery County Police, the suspect shot the female victim, who was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
