A scratch-off ticket paid off big for one lucky Silver Spring resident who took home the top-prize win of $100,000.

The 43-year-old construction worker frequently visits the King Kong Restaurant — located at 2350 University Boulevard in Adelphi — during lunch breaks. While stopping in this past Monday, he purchased a $10 In the Money scratch-off instant ticket.

Shortly after purchasing and scratching off the blue and green instant ticket, the Silver Spring resident quickly learned of his lottery luck and spent a lot of time sharing the good news with family and friends, but he is still undecided on what he will spend the prize money on, according to Maryland Lottery.

According to Maryland Lottery, the In the Money game went on sale in February with eight top prizes. Two are unclaimed. This game also has four $20,000 unclaimed prizes, seven $10,000 prizes, nine $1,000 prizes, and others ranging from $10 to $500.

The King Kong Restaurant in Adelphi will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling the $100,000 top-prize winning scratch-off.
