A person was taken to an area hospital following an early morning shooting in Silver Spring, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police.
Officers from MCPD’s 3rd District were dispatched at approximately 2:04 a.m. to the 8600 block of Georgia Avenue, police said.
One individual was transported to a local hospital in a private vehicle, police said. There is currently no information available regarding the person’s condition.
Police also reported that no suspect information is available at this time, and no one is currently in custody.
The investigation remains ongoing.
