Strathmore celebrates the approach of the spooky season with its upcoming exhibit, “Hauntings,” . It explores themes of the supernatural in art. The free exhibition will open at the Mansion Galleries on Saturday, Oct. 4, and run until Saturday, Nov. 8.
The exhibition will feature depictions of monsters, ghostly portraits and dark landscape paintings, while the historic mansion environment lends its backdrop to the works on display.
The mansion’s Halloween celebrations expand beyond the artwork. Strathmore will host four themed events throughout the season, including a midnight tea party and a screening of the gothic film “Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror.”
