Police said they have arrested a suspect who allegedly stabbed three men Tuesday morning inside McDonald’s in downtown Silver Spring.

Theodore Andrew Brandy, 34, was taken into custody Wednesday at about 12:45 p.m., per a release from the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).

On Tuesday, police said officers were called at about 6:45 a.m. to the McDonald’s in the 8400 block of Colesville Road. First responders found two men with non-life-threatening injuries and they were taken to a hospital. Police said a third man who was injured left the scene and eventually returned and notified police. He was also taken to a hospital.

Police said Brandy was identified as a possible suspect and officers canvassed downtown Silver Spring. They talked to business owners and patrons, and through community engagement, police got a tip from an employee and found Brandy at City Place Mall. He was taken into custody without incident.

Brandy has no known address, police said.

MCPD said a warrant was requested with charges including three counts of first-degree assault, three counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon.
