Spring has arrived in Montgomery County and while the Cherry Blossom tress have bloomed few places capture the spirit of the season like Butler’s Orchard in Germantown.
In this episode of The Pulse, viewers get to explore the popular family farm as its 30th Annual Bunnyland celebration gets underway, an Eastertime tradition that draws around 1,000 visitors a day during its peak weekend, according to Gina Giantonio, director of agritainment at Butler’s Orchard.
For more than 75 years, the Butler family has been a cornerstone of the local agricultural community, bringing generations of families together not just for fresh produce, but for unforgettable seasonal experiences.
Ahead of our preview of spring activities on the farm, we share the top news of the week, including:
  • A $1 million federal grant to redevelop an apartment complex in Wheaton into a cultural arts center
  • The new report from MCPS analyzing safety protocols after the Wootton High School shooting earlier this year
  • Rising energy costs and residents struggling to pay sky-high electric bills
  • Local tax discussions and budget concerns with Council President  Natali Fani-González
  • Plus, a Good Friday message of hope from one of the oldest churches in the county.
