‘The Pulse’ on Location at Montgomery County’s Thanksgiving Parade

Join us for a special edition of “The Pulse,” on location in downtown Silver Spring for the 2025 Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade, which took place on the Saturday before the holiday.

From a 12-foot-tall inflatable turkey to prima ballerinas and marching bands, enjoy this annual tradition from the comfort of your home with local commentary infused with historical facts about Montgomery County from co-hosts Markette Sheppard and Frank Hanrahan, two longtime locals who know the town well, along with county insiders, reporters Cristina Caicedo Smit, Maryam Shahzad and Suzanne Pollak.

Featured interviews in this parade special include: County Council President Kate Stewart, Council Vice President Will Jawando and the peculiar, yet intriguing superhero “Maryland Man,” who wielded his giant crab mallet in the name of justice, and a little holiday fun.

This parade special is airing throughout the holiday season on Montgomery Community Media’s TV channels and streaming 24/7 on MCM’s YouTube channel.
