Turntables, Tutorials and Trades: Vinyl Day Returns to Silver Spring

Celebrate National Vinyl Day this August with Montgomery County Public Libraries’ annual celebration in Silver Spring.

On Saturday, Aug. 9, MCPL will host their annual celebration from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Leading up to National Vinyl Day on August 12, Vinyl Day invites guests to “immerse themselves in music, creativity, and community connection,” according to the event webpage.

The family-friendly event will feature record sales and workshops on scratch DJ basics, how to create your own graffiti tag and songwriting. Attendees can expect special guests like “Signing Engineer” Roy Moye III, presenting STEM-music science activities, and keynote speaker: DJ GI Joe (Joseph Rivera).
