Virtual Panels Will Introduce Girls to Non-Traditional Careers

The Montgomery County Commission for Women and Montgomery Women will host a virtual career event for middle and high school girls the evening of March 21.

The event, A Virtual Career Exploration for Her, will feature panel discussions and the opportunity to connect with potential mentors. In celebration of Women’s History Month, the event will focus on inspiring young women to get involved in more male-dominated fields. Panels will revolve around careers in fire services, science, technology, law and entrepreneurship. Women in non-traditional fields will introduce attendees to these careers and offer guidance on career goals.

There are still openings for speakers at the event. Email Montgomery Women if you are interested.

Students can gain two Student Service Learning (SSL) hours by completing a survey after the event. The event is free and on Zoom but registration is required. Sign up here.
