Glenmont Local Park will soon have a new attraction — a mural on its Park Activity building. And Montgomery Parks wants you to vote for your favorite design.
The Parks solicited mural designs to decorate the building at Glenmont Park. 26 artists submitted their artwork. A panel of arts professionals and community stakeholders narrowed the list to four.
From Monday, Aug. 4 to Aug. 24, community members can cast votes for their favorite.
You can vote for your favorite image online and in person at Wheaton Library. Or if you drop by the Maryland-Capital Park and Planning Headquarters at 2425 Reedie Drive, they will be on display.

The Montgomery Parks Foundation sponsored the mural contest with a generous grant. The winning artist will be awarded $30,000 upon completion of the project. The mural should be completed by November of this year.
